Our Story…..
A story I never wanted to tell, I never wanted to write about.I never wanted to live. A story that I wish I could rewrite every day.
Rob and I welcomed our fourth child Quinn Harper Gallagher into this world on November 22, 2023. I was 41 when I had Quinn and in my previous pregnancy, I had hypertension that stayed around after the delivery. So, that was always a concern of mine with the medication I was on and to make things more complicated I got gestational diabetes during my pregnancy with Quinn. I remember visiting the doctor after the news and all I could remember was all the complications that could happen, but what stood out the most was that Quinn might have trouble breathing at birth and they would have specialists in the delivery room.
That day came and I remember it taking so long for Rob to bring Quinn to me. I kept asking if everything was ok, and he reassured me not wanting me to worry, but he was concerned. Quinn had some respiratory issues at birth and needed extra oxygen. The first time I held her the nurse said her heart rate was stable and all she needed was her mama and now all her mama needed is her.
We brought Quinn home on November 24, 2023, where she was able to meet her three siblings, Riley, Peyton, and Bobby. That night Quinn left us, but not without leaving behind her own story. Her memory will live on, our grief will live on, and our story will continue. Quinn, allow your wings to carry you.
